Eastern Current Review welcomes carefully scoped contributions that help general readers understand freshwater landscapes. We are interested in clear explanations, useful comparisons and thoughtful ways to read water and land together.
What to propose
Send an idea about rivers, wetlands, watersheds, the water cycle or water maps. A strong proposal names the question, the reader it serves, the central point and why the subject works as an evergreen piece. We welcome concise pitches and completed drafts, but a pitch is not a promise of publication.
How to make it useful
Choose a distinct angle, explain specialist terms and show what a reader can notice or understand after reading. Keep claims proportionate, distinguish general patterns from place-specific facts and identify references needed for verification. Avoid professional advice, unsupported claims and material that depends on readers checking local rules.

Water leaves clues in the land.
Look at the channel, the surrounding ground and the route downstream. Each offers a different clue; none tells the whole story alone.
